I had a lovely morning yesterday catching up with a couple of good friends for morning tea (which turned into lunch).
They understand (well know of) the 'teatowel obsession'.
One of them had these lovely vintage floral numbers in her stash of stuff.
She was going to include them in a quilt but it wasn't turning into anything special.
The tea towel 'gods' where on my side when she pulled them out and 'respectfully' handed them over to moi!!
What a great friend!
What a great day!
You'll have enough tea-towels to reupholster a chair a la Suzie Stanford! xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Brismod.....I just googled Suzi Stanford (who I had never heard of before) and the absolute visual delight was breathtaking. I am in awe....how clever is she? Yep don't think I will be heading down that track. I am going to have to be happy with a quilt.
ReplyDeleteThey are too delightful! Are they big enough for pillow cases or cushions so you don't have to (bite my lip)...cut...them?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your quilt creation. You've got quite a lot. Will you mix the florals with the Australian tourist treasures, or will there be two quilts?
ReplyDeleteJust googled Suzie Stanford too. WOW!!
ReplyDeleteR&S-I think I will stick to the Australiana theme. They are all linen as well which is good. The florals I will sit on and think about for a while..Yeah that Suzie Stanford is amazing!!!
